WHAT IS THE WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP SUMMIT?

The Women’s Leadership Summit is a day-long leadership and professional development conference for all women in our community. The Summit is a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Greensboro (JLG), with all proceeds from the event supporting the League’s mission of improving the community through the action of trained volunteers and developing the potential of women.

In 2013, the JLG focused its community efforts upon a single focus area – education. As a result, the JLG has developed a partnership with Cone Elementary, a state identified school in Guilford County. In just four years, the JLG has provided over $200,000 in funding for programs; trained 370 volunteers; and sponsored 44 individual programs at Cone Elementary.

Since the first Women’s Leadership Summit, held in 2011, we have set our sights high, engaging nationally to realize a profound impact locally. In addition to our renowned conference lecturers from across the state and region, we have been privileged to feature keynote speakers such as author and TV personality, Jenna Bush Hager, Olympian Bonnie St. John, and National Geographic hiker of the year, Jennifer Pharr Davis.

As in years past, the Summit will offer a platform for networking, personal growth and camaraderie among women canvassing all stages of leadership who hold diverse interests.
